Dr. Donna Murray selected to receive the presitgious PRESCIENT award and fellowship for 2017-18.

Congratulations to Dr. Donna Murray who has been selected to receive the prestigious CTSI TL1 Fellowship Award, PRESCIENT, for 2017-18.

Dr. Murray's research aims to determine the effects of impulsivity on brain neural circuitry (by functional connectivity) and neuronal viability (by metabolite concentrations) within distinct brain networks of treatment-seeking alcohol dependent individuals. Furthermore, this research will determine the predictive value of these multimodal imaging biomarkers (impulsivity, functional connectivity, metabolite concentrations), for the risk for relapse in alcohol dependent individuals and the impact of impulsive behavior measured early in treatment on long-term treatment outcomes using computational modeling techniques.
